Well today ive been pretty bored so I decided to make some Shabby Chic Christmas Tree Decorations :)

Trip to York for my Mums Birthday

Well on the 19th October was my Yummy Mummys Birthday.  As we live in a 

village around 30 minutes from the beautiful city of York we decided we would go for the day and do some shopping.  My Mum was on the look out for her guilty pleasure (bags and dress jewellery) and I was on the look out for mine (anything I can make something out of, anything in the shabby chic style for my home). 

We headed into the centre via the park and ride bus as its difficult to find parking direct in the centre.

 

We first stopped for lunch to fill up on energy then full steam ahead for shopping.

First we stumbled on our favourite shop Christmas Angels

After buying some bits and bobs we carried onto our next favourite shop.  I have a beautiful 5 year old niece and an adorable 2 year old nephew which gave me and my Mum a great excuse to pop into here 

Next was a slow walk down through the shambles.  There are some amazing tiny shops here selling all kinds of things I love :)

I love shopping in York and feel so lucky to live near such a magical place

It was a really cold crisp day, the kind perfect for shopping.  After a fair few hours wandering around we headed back home for hot chocolate in front of the fire.  I hope my Mum enjoyed her birthday as much as I did.  Love you Mum xxx
